The world's largest single solar power plant project undertaken by China has been fully completed

According to the official Weibo of SINOMACH, the world's largest single solar power station project contracted by SINOMACH - Eldafra PV2 solar power station has been fully completed.

It is understood that the Al Dafura PV2 solar power plant project in the United Arab Emirates, located in Abu Dhabi, is currently one of the largest single photovoltaic power stations in the world.

The project covers an area of 20 square kilometers, with an installed capacity of 2.1 GW, using the world's advanced photovoltaic power generation technology, equipped with nearly 4 million photovoltaic panels, 300,000 pile foundations, 30,000 sets of tracking brackets, and more than 2,000 cleaning robots.

In addition, there are 8,000 string inverters, 180 box-type transformers and more than 15,000 kilometers of cables, and the power station performance and power generation efficiency are world-leading.

After the completion of the power station, it will provide electricity for 200,000 households, help reduce Abu Dhabi by 2.4 million tons per year, and increase the proportion of clean energy in the UAE's total energy mix to more than 13%.
