Recently, at the 2025 China Wire and Cable Industry Development Forum, industry data and practical achievements of enterprises were released in a concentrated manner, indicating that China's wire and cable industry is accelerating its transformation and upgrading in the direction of "green, high-end and intelligent", providing better supporting services for key national fields such as new energy and ultra-high voltage.

From the perspective of the overall industry trend, green and low-carbon have become the core development main line. Forum data shows that in 2024, the output of environmentally friendly wires and cables in China increased by 18.3% year-on-year. Among them, the usage rates of halogen-free, low smoke and flame-retardant cables, high-temperature resistant and environmentally friendly cables and other products in the construction and rail transit fields rose to 65% and 72% respectively. Several leading enterprises have disclosed that they have established a closed-loop system of "waste cable recycling - research and development of recycled materials - green production". A leading enterprise has increased the recycling rate of waste cables to over 98% through its independently developed copper purification technology, reducing carbon emissions by more than 20,000 tons annually.
In terms of technological innovation, breakthroughs in high-end cable products continue to emerge. In response to the demands of new energy vehicles, energy storage power stations and other scenarios, the industry has developed high-flexibility weather-resistant cables, high-voltage DC cables and other products, which have achieved breakthroughs in temperature resistance and insulation performance. A certain enterprise has launched a 1200V high-voltage automotive cable, which can meet the fast charging needs of the next generation of new energy vehicles and has now entered the stage of mass supply.
